We’re excited to officially invite you toĀ register for SE Saint Lucia Advanced I Training (Online) with Efu Nyaki

This six-day Advanced I training module is theĀ seventhĀ ofĀ eight modulesĀ constituting the SEā„¢ Professional Training Program and is open to those enrolled in the full Somatic ExperiencingĀ® Practitioner certificate program.

While representing a wide range of cultures and experiences, this cohort will provide the opportunity to learn SE to an international audience of practitioners dedicated to supporting their marginalized communities in healing from the damaging effects of trauma. Students will be able to learn the SE skills and framework within the safe environment of a BIPOC training team and participants and explore how the skills are applicable to their communities.

We will be covering the standard SE curriculum while recognizing how issues of racism and historical oppression impact our experiences of traumatic events. We will also explore how culture and connection to culture helps to heal trauma.

SE Professional Training: Advanced I Course Objectives:

1. Students will be able to describe the difference between the SEā„¢ concepts of coherence and containment and their importance in working with syndromal patterns.

2. Students will be able to identify two indicators of increased coherence.

3. Students will be able to describe the difference between the three key systems in the Polyvagal Theory: Dorsal Vagal System (DV), Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS), Ventral Vagal System (VV) and the importance of their role in SEā„¢.

4. Students will be able to identify two key characteristics of the dysfunction found in the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).

5. Students will be able to describe two ways of integrating the concept of titration when working with SEā„¢ syndromes.

6. Students will be able to demonstrate two ways of integrating the Energy Wells model when working with SEā„¢ syndromes.

7. Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to apply two different titrated stimulations to ANS responses within the category of SEā„¢ defined as syndromes.
